Learning Objectives
Upon completing this course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe key characteristics of new contraceptives, including mechanism of action, side effects, duration of use, and administration
- Compare newer contraceptive products with established contraceptive products in the same category.
- Recommend contraceptive products in line with patient preferences.
- Review updates from the 2024 Centers of Disease Control and Prevention Medical Eligibility Criteria and Selected Practice Recommendations.
- Apply guidelines and evidence to contraceptive product selection.
