Mitchell Creinin, MD provides an overview of hormones commonly used in contraception and associated reproductive health care. Education focuses on understanding androgenicity of hormones, impact on the liver and kidneys, and future drug development through an emphasis on key structural differences among various estrogen and progestogen ligands that modulate effects on hormone receptors.

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify natural and synthetic estrogens and progestogens and how they relate to life phases.
