More than half of U.S. states allow pharmacists to prescribe contraceptives via statewide protocol, standing order, or collaborative practice agreements. However, implementation rates have been low with many barriers cited. The goal of this program is to prepare pharmacists to provide contraception services in the pharmacy and support improved implementation rates. Model adopter case studies and a live panel discussion will cover the financial justification, common challenges, and best practices for the implementation of pharmacist-prescribed contraceptive services.
